TWO KNOTS RIGHT

Johnnie Novak, a Canadian pilot with the Allied Special Operations Executive, is destined to meet Anastasia Kowalski, a member of the Polish Underground.

Johnnie and his crew deliver much-needed ammunition to the Polish rebels fighting against the Nazi regime, but just before reaching saftey, Novak’s aircraft is shot down.

A young but courageous Anna smuggles Jewish children out of the Warsaw ghetto through the underground sewer system. After the crash, Johnnie escapes Nazi clutches and is sheltered by Anna. A strong connection resonates even after both of them end up behind barbed wire.

Great challenges face the couple. Nazi concentration and prison camps. Hunger. Separation. Botched escape attempts. And not least of all, the Beast, a female guard, who brutalizes Anna, and then is protected under a secret government program. But hope remains.

The novel highlights the lives, dreams, and firm connection of two very unique people in a troubled time in world history.
